Saint Pius X Catholic School opened in the Greensboro community in 1955 in honor of Pope Pius X who had been recently canonized. The school was first staffed by the Daughters of Charity from Emmitsburg, Maryland. After continuous growth a new church was built in 1981 to accommodate a growing parish. A new middle school wing was added in 1997. In 2000 the new state of the art Athletic Center was dedicated in honor of Father Francis Connolly.
Our mission, as a Catholic faith oriented school, is “to make one’s faith become living, conscious, and active through the light of instruction." Our program strives to develop in each student a positive self-image with all the skills needed to assume Christian responsibility and become a contributor to our changing society. We recognize the importance of a strong partnership within our school community.
